There may be some good reasons to get one... myths say that people with a tattoo have more sex, and there could be something to it: I found one study showing that tattooed college students are more likely to be sexual active (link to study). Further, tattooed people have more different sexual partners (link to study). But be aware that permanent tattoos are also associated with high-risk behaviors... (see here and here).
